Poynton Pottery




Caroline has been teaching pottery since 2004 in various institutions, organisations and as a self employed business. She founded Poynton Pottery in 2013, after moving back to the North West from London.

Alongside Poynton Pottery and all its projects she teaches a family pottery class at Morley College in London, an outstanding adult education college and works with Venture Arts, a not for profit organisation who teach arts to adults and children with learning difficulties.

Caroline studied at the Royal College of Art, 2006-2008. University Institute of Wales, Cardiff, 2001-2004.



Stephen has been teaching pottery since 2004, in schools, colleges and universities. He joined Poynton Pottery in 2015.

Stephen currently works part time at Clay Studio Manchester. He has also taught at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, De Montfort University and Liverpool Hope University.


Stephen studied at the Royal College of Art, 2005-2007. Staffordshire University, Stoke-on-Trent, 2001-2004.


Laura Nagus


Laura graduated from Manchester Met. University and been a practitioner and teacher since graduation. She joins Poynton Pottery to teach Throwing and teach a Wednesday Evening class.


Helen Kennedy


Is a trained teacher, illustrator, musician and creative maker, she has been making ceramics that explores surface and colour.

She joins Poynton Pottery to teach  Tuesday and Thursday Evenings class. She also teaches Family Pottery and one off sessions.
